A few weeks ago we ran our first experiment, a small group coaching exercise in the great outdoors. Now, we’re looking for a couple of volunteers for another type of coaching – live online.

The format is simple and works for anyone with a laptop and decent Internet access. Zoom or Skype with me and we’ll do a one hour coaching session on the career topic of your choice. Since lots of coaches do phone or video sessions, the experiment part here is that we’d do this live on stream. The benefit to you is a dedicated (free!) hour of coaching along with multiple viewpoints from the audience. While I’ve done a lot of coaching, one of my favorite quotes, from Ken Blanchard, is “none of us is as smart as all of us.” The perspectives of others, what they would do, and what they recommend, can give you a more well-rounded set of viewpoints.

Obviously this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for input on most career development challenges, but since the stream is public and also later posted on YouTube, it is not the right place for highly sensitive topics like “how to work with a difficult boss” or “my office mate drives me nuts!” For my part, I believe than many common career growth concerns are broadly shared, and that others will similar challenges can benefit from watching our discussion. While getting your own questions answered you’ll likely be helping others at the same time.

If you’re interested, reach out to me on LinkedIn or leave a comment here with some sense of what you’d like to discuss when we talk. Depending on the number of interested people, I’ll either do a few shows over time or I’ll let you know if I can accommodate you or not.
